Minutes from last meeting on WEB-The only change is that Mulkulteo will not be joining us as
previously mentioned.
Preliminary Roster Review-All rosters have been turned in, but a few need fine tuning.
Remember, preliminary master rosters are due 8/22.
Split Policy Submittal-Only 3 systems turned in split policies. Still needed from Kirkland,
Eastlake, Sno-Valley and Woodinville. Redmond, Bothell and Bellevue turned theirs in-thanks.
Remember, this is due by those systems that split EVERY year.
Web Site Review-Some systems web sites are still not updated or usable. Those that aren't are considered delinquent and may not be used during the season unless they get with Brian Berry ASAP. Also, Bob Vanhoomissen will help keep scores and schedules updated.
Submittal of Game Dates and Times-Those systems that do not get their dates confirmed by this week may not get home dates this year (Inglemoor). This causes delays in getting out the schedules for the rest of the systems.
Husky and Seahawk dates. The dates for the Huskies are 10/7, 10/21 and 11/4. Univac requested JV while Kirkland requested Cubs. Shawn suggested picking outstanding contributors to the respective programs. A list of team's order was included in packet. There are no Seahawk dates.
Jamborees-Newport will be hosting jamboree from Noon-9 pm on 9/2 involving Wolverines,
Issaquah and Newport. The Bears will be hosting a semi-pro jamboree on 8/26 from 4-6 at
Interlake HS.
Referees/Rule Books-All systems required to recruit 2 refs per year. Rule books were handed
out to those who have paid and still needed some.
Mercer Island System-It was recommended that we vote on whether to continue to allow Mercer
Island as part of GEJFA due to administrative issues. This will be discussed and voted on at the 8/22 meeting.
Other Business-Tom Thomason mentioned that game day reports should be turned in no later than Monday by System Director Only. Individual reports from each level go to system directors. A first aid clinic will be held at the Bellevue Boys and Girls club this Saturday from 1000-Noon.
Please send me any corrections or changes. Thanks.
NEXT MEETING IS ON 8/22 AT 2000 AT THE BELLEVUE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB!!!
