Meeting opened at 1903. Minutes from last meeting on the web.
Shawn reviewed committee assignments. He added Issaquah and Sno. Valley to roster review committee. Grievance committee was voted as Mike Pattison (Woodinville), Ed Rafferty (Bears) and Rick Wells (Skyline).
Age/Weight chart was reviewed. Changes voted on and approved for younger, bigger rule for Sophomore, JV and varsity. Weight chart 2000A was approved. Edited copy to be posted on the web.
Preliminary schedule was reviewed. 8 games league play and 3 weeks of playoffs schedule was approved. This should eliminate home scheduling issues that were apparent with 7 game schedule. Issaquah cannot host games the first Sat in October due conflicts with Salmon Days. We will host a tournament for the semi-pro (senior) level on November 11 & 12. A breakdown for the schedules may be due out sometime this month. Folks should start meeting with their AD’s as soon as possible.
A decision was made to have at least one coach per team certified in first aid so Shawn provided info for classes, but remember not all classes have certificates so be careful when selecting. It was noted that perhaps parents should be involved as well in these classes so that someone is available at all times on the field with the proper training. This is important for organization and management growth for our league as well as adding credibility for us.
The coaches clinic information will be sent out later. May be held at BCC depending on costs.
Several forms were reviewed and approved. The transfer waiver form must be completed every year and approved by the appropriate committee (grievance). The WSP forms and GEJFA conduct code forms must be completed by the coaches and systems respectively. 1 conduct form per team/1 WSP per coach needs to be filled out and returned by the due dates. Please print names on conduct forms as some were not legible last year. Master Rosters will be completed by Sept. 15th. No players may be added after this date. Sample rosters were reviewed for examples to use provided by the Bears and Bothell. For games in the 11th week, the 10th week roster will be used. Weigh-in rosters need to be listed by age, while master rosters are alphabetical. Game reports will be due by Monday by EVERY system using the master form provided by Tom.
Field managers need to have a way to be recognized this year using special coats or other means.
Referee fees are due Sept. 5th. Each system is expected to recruit 2 new referees. Registration and information form handed out. Classes are set for Aug. for referees.
RULE CHANGES/APPROVALS (ESTABLISHED)
League president shall NOT coach while in office (approved-page 1)
Organization structure changes to separate Skyline from Eastlake approved (page 2). Any other changes need to be sent to Shawn. Bellevue will be added to appropriate teams (Knights, Bears and Wolverines)

Home team will wear base colors; Issaquah is changing to purple pants and lettering on helmet. 5 Star is changing to black jersey as main jersey. Kirkland needs to establish alternate color (white) (approved-page 5)
