GREATER EASTSIDE JUNIOR FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Greater Eastside Junior Football Association (GEJFA) is comprised of 16 independent franchise Systems (AKA Leagues), each responsible for their own registration and System administration.  Thus, those youth who desire to play tackle football must register with the appropriate System.

Players must register with the System within whose boundaries they reside.  System boundaries generally coincide with the public high school boundaries with very few exceptions.

Generally, all player applicants within the above boundaries must be accommodated by the respective System in the order of registration up to the maximum number of players per team subject to GEJFA rules. Youth residing outside the boundaries of the GEJFA program may pursue registration with a nearby GEJFA System subject to that System’s approval.

Generally, registrations occur in the Spring, usually between March and May.  Registrations should remain open until teams are full (meeting GEJFA requirements) at which time waiting lists may be established.  Ultimately, if a player cannot be accommodated by the System in which he/she resides, he/she may request a transfer to a neighboring System subject to approval from the involved Systems and GEJFA.

Registration information for each System can be found on their web sites which are accessible through the GEJFA web site (www.gejfa.org).  The links to each System’s web site can be found in the pull down window (System Websites) in the left margin of the GEJFA web site home page.

Questions regarding a particular System’s registration should be directed to that System via their web site contact or via their System Representative listed under the GEJFA Council Representative link in the left margin of the GEJFA web site home page (http://gejfa.org/reps1.htm).

Other questions regarding registration or GEJFA in general may be answered in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) under a link also in the left margin of the GEJFA web site home page (http://gejfa.org/FAQS.htm).

Should you still have unanswered questions after following the above, please direct them to either the GEJFA Senior Vice President or the GEJFA President whose contact information is also provided under the GEJFA Council Representative link.
